How verification works

We control documents against blockchain anchors, embedded digital signatures, issuer databases, and 80+ external credential platforms.
The security level returned reflects the proof we find.

You submit

A URL, a credential GUID, or a PDF/image. No account required, nothing stored beyond the verification result.

We check security layers

Blockchain proof, eIDAS digital signature, PKCS#7 cryptography, issuer database, and 80+ external credential platforms.

You get a verdict

You receive clearly explained security levels, from eIDAS & blockchain-secured to unverifiable, plus the underlying proof.

Security levels

The Level reflects what kind of security was used when issuing a document. Read across to see what each level guarantees.

What is eIDAS, and why does it matter?

eIDAS is the EU regulation (910/2014) that defines a common framework for digital signatures across all 27 member states. A document signed with a Qualified Electronic Signature carries a verified signer identity backed by an accredited trust service provider.

TRUE Verify reads the PKCS#7 / CAdES signature embedded in PDFs, extracts the signer's identity, the issuing certificate authority, and the precise signing time, backed by RFC 3161 timestamping.

If the document also has a blockchain hash on file, you reach Level I, the strongest combination of cryptographic proof a credential can carry. Either way, Level I or II means the document is tamper-proof and verifiable for the lifetime of the credential.

More than a verification

Verify is free and open to everyone. It's one part of TRUE, the trust layer that keeps documents authentic from the moment they're issued to wherever they end up.
